I used to get my husband to do that sort of thing but since he left i have to do loads of things i ve never done before attic being one of them.
Afraid to go in attic.
In my case i was never really scared of the attic until we had mice rats and i could hear them scratching and squeaking about two feet above my head i was in a bunk bed which was absurdly close to the ceiling.
I have been in a good number of attics in my day i would say hazards are protruding nails and splinters.
Random thread i know but i was interested to see if anyone else is scared of going in their attic or if it s just me.
An attic can be dangerously hot on a summer day so take care to stay out of the heat as much as possible while you work on getting out of the attic.
Generally stay low and look for a space fresh air is entering.
Hi ellie as you know i live on my own too but am scared of heights as i broke my back from a 2 story high flat long story the attic is the one place i am frihtened to go into mainly as its too high and i find it too hard to clean the tiles in my bathroom as they reach the ceiling my son keeps saying he ll do them but never gets round too so i.
Attics can be filled with spooky things like spiders and webs and things that no longer serve you.
A trip to the attic to put down some poison removed the fear completely and solved the mouse problem within a few days.
Don t forget to go up there.
Like the basement the attic can be an area you want to put off and avoid but you will be so glad you dealt with it now and not when it is time to actually move.
Stay on walk boards or joysts.
Watch where you d escape to.
