The fan won t start even though the ac is on. I would like to suggest that you make sure if your motor has a capacitor that the capacitor is good and up to specs. If the coil is frozen shut off the air conditioning immediately. Check for a loose or disconnected wire or a corroded electrical connector.

Therefore to determine whether or not this part is working you ll have to walk outside and look at the fan through the vents of the condenser unit. No electrical power to the fan or its controls check for a blown fuse or heating or cooling switch set to off.
