This sounds like your motor might be over heating.
Air handler fan motor not working.
If you have a belt driven blower motor fan and the fan is not blowing any air through the vents then it is possible that the belt may have become worn over time moved out of place or become damaged.
You can check for this problem by listening to the ac unit when it is turned on.
If you have a high efficiency ecm motor then you might have a motor module going out.
Open blower compartment door a safety switch may be preventing fan operation.

It could be a bad relay control board run capacitor or the blower motor itself.
If you aren t getting 24 volts between g and c then you might have a thermostat problem a thermostat wire problem or the low voltage fuse on the control board might be blown.
Even if it s not a heat pump some equipment still use belt driven motors.
Perhaps your blower motor has burnt out and you need a new one.
The air conditioner fan is located in the condenser unit the portion outside your home.
You might need a new motor module on ecm motors.
If the fan isn t working that can cause the coil to freeze.
The fan won t start even though the ac is on.
I would like to suggest that you make sure if your motor has a capacitor that the capacitor is good and up to specs.
If the coil is frozen shut off the air conditioning immediately.
Check for a loose or disconnected wire or a corroded electrical connector.
Therefore to determine whether or not this part is working you ll have to walk outside and look at the fan through the vents of the condenser unit.
No electrical power to the fan or its controls check for a blown fuse or heating or cooling switch set to off.
Test to make sure you are getting 24 to 28 volts ac between the g green and c com terminals on you fan center or control board.
Is your furnace blower motor not working and there is no air coming out of your vents.
If the coil froze the fan could be working but the air wont go through the ice until it melts.
When the fan doesn t start even though the ac is turned on it can be a clear sign that there s a fault with the motor.
