During the flange creation you may select multiple edges what s powerful about this is that inventor will auto mitre the face intersections and apply the proper corner conditions based on the sheet metal styles those little icons glyphs that appear on the flanges within the modeling window allow for the overriding of settings per flange.
Use the flange command to add a sheet metal face and a bend to an existing sheet metal face.
You can also specify the width or offset of the new flange.
When you create the flange the flange previews along the edge you select using default parameters.
You can specify the depth and the angle of the flange and whether it is created inside or outside the existing face.
You can override the default sheet metal style settings using the unfold options and the bend or corner tabs on the feature creation dialog box.
